Green Bean Bundles

3 pints whole green beans
or use 1 1/2 to 2 lbs. fresh green beans
1 red or yellow pepper, cut into strips (optional)
1 lb. raw bacon (If desired, bacon may be partially cooked to reduce fat)
garlic salt
Catalina or Italian dressing, or Worcestershire sauce (about 1/2 cup)
Parmesan cheese (the kind in the can works best for this recipe)—optional

If using fresh beans, trim stem ends and steam until crisp-tender. Immediately rinse under cool running
water. Cut bacon strips in half crosswise. Wrap bundles of green beans and pepper strips with half bacon strips. Lay bundles in a large flat baking pan. Sprinkle with garlic powder; drizzle with dressing, sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes, until bacon
is done.

Serves 8-10.
