Magic Cookie Bars
Easy for teens to make. Best eaten warm.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In an 8-inch square pan, melt:
1 stick butter (I often reduce this to 6 T.)
Remove from oven.
Sprinkle over butter:
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 cup coconut
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans
Drizzle over top:
1 can sweetened condensed milk
Bake at 350 degrees 30 min., until slightly browned around edges. Cool slightly and cut into squares.
Butterscotch treats: Substitute or add butterscotch chips.
Holiday treats: Use white chocolate chips and craisins (dried cranberries) for a festive appearance.

Get creative: Oreos. Blueberry or raspberry jam. M&M’s. Pretzels. Trail Mix. Toffee bits. Almonds, pistachios or walnuts.
