Sauteed Mushrooms

Sautéed Mushrooms
8 oz. mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
1/2 stick butter
1/2 cup white wine* or chicken broth, or juice from half a lemon

Melt butter in a skillet over high heat. Add mushrooms and stir to coat. Sauté until golden, 3-4 minutes. Add wine; stir and cook a few minutes more, until sauce is reduced. Serve immediately.

These mushrooms are delicious on a burger, steak, pork chop or chicken breast. Serve with toast and cheese or on top of a salad. Add garlic or other herbs if you like. Be creative!

*If using red meat, use red wine.
